Building, accommodation and environment

In Sweden you can choose to stay in an appartment or a house. You can either rent or buy your home.

If you choose to rent your home, it is called tenancy and you do not need to pay a deposit, just a month rent to your landlord. You can also buy an apartment, which is part of a housing cooperative. This means you need to pay a deposit and a monthly fee. By doing that, you are part of the cooperative that owns the building. You can also buy a house or a farm with full ownership.
