For those of you who are about to start studying in Östersund, we have created a student guide that gathers a lot of information that can be useful for you as a new student.
Östersund's specialities are tourism, eco technology and the ski college, where Sweden's ski elite are able to combine studies with professional training. Many chose to study in Östersund because the city is close to the mountains and Jämtland's beautiful natural scenery.
Mid Sweden Universities campus' are situated in Östersund and Sundsvall. From Östersund it's close to Stockholm and other major cities, thanks to excellent communications and frequent departures by rail and air.
Östersund, situated in the midst of the grandeur of the fells while providing the facilities of a lively small city with industry and commerce, shopping facilities and entertainment, is the natural choice for students.
Östersund received the student city of the year award in 2018/2019.
